Ask For Advice

Greetings to all Parents and Educators,

My purpose for starting this blog is to help parents, students, and fellow educators. I have experience as a principal, teacher, and coach at multiple school levels. I currently work as a middle school principal and adjunct professor of education at a prestigious university. If you need advice about how to handle a kid or a school situation -- just ask. I'm happy to help.

  1. We appreciate people like you who take their own time to communicate to parents information they may not necessarily know about. Really understood your point of view. Please continue your blog as it is helpful, and informative.

  5. My son is failing Spanish, I requested a change in teachers. Now my son is not as sure he wants to change since he would have to change all of his schedule and he is doing very well in his other classes. The teacher knows my son is not "happy" in her class. She paired him with another student last week and commented in front of the whole class that the student he was paired with would have her hands full. She went on to tell this student she would have to tell him the page, open the book to the page and tell him in detail what they were doing. He says the class was snickering when she was saying this. He refused to do any of the work at that point. My son, who does not like to be made the center of attention wants me to respond to this. I am not sure what I should do.
